Opening Ceremony To Kick Off KIDS Center’s Blue Ribbon Campaign

On Friday, April 5 KIDS Center will kick off the annual Blue Ribbon Campaign for National Child Abuse Prevention Month, with an Opening Ceremony to be held in downtown Bend. The Ceremony kicks off a month dedicated to both raising awareness of the thousands of victims of child abuse in Central Oregon and focusing on what we can do to create a community where all children can grow up healthy and safe.

On Friday, April 5 at 5:15pm, the Blue Ribbon Campaign will kick off with an Opening Ceremony at the downtown Boys and Girls Club. The Ceremony will include speakers that will touch on the importance of preventing, recognizing and reporting child abuse in Central Oregon. The third annual Prevention Partner of the Year awards will also be presented to BendBroadband, American Licorice and Central Oregon Community College for their outstanding efforts to protect children from sexual abuse both inside and outside of school.

In support of our Annual Blue Ribbon Campaign many businesses are donating a percentage of ALL sales on April 5th to KIDS Center.
