If Content Is King, Then Context Is Queen — Advertising Federation of Central Oregon to Present May Ad Bite on The Value of Context on the Web

The Advertising Federation of Central Oregon (Ad Fed) will feature an oft not considered topic at the organization’s May 23 Ad Bite as Ed Ouellette, Interactive Manager at Phinney Bischoff in Seattle, Washington walks through the potential pitfalls of ignoring context and how you can avoid them.

“Everyone says ‘Content is King’ on the Web, and it’s true: you need to have valuable information and/or services for your visitors,” said Oulette. “Even the best content in the world, though, will not work if you don’t put it in a usable and effective form. Context is Queen looks at how you should analyze your audience, your goals and content to increase your site’s value to your visitors and to keep them coming back.”

Ed Oulette is currently the Interactive Manager/Producer for Phinney Bischoff, a brand strategy, design and digital firm based in Seattle. Its clients include global brands such as Boeing and Microsoft and local heroes like the Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Symphony.  He was one of the most popular speakers at Ad Fed’s Bend WebCAM last year and was a featured panelist at Ad Fed’s recent Hot Seat Website Review.

The May Ad Bite will be held on Thursday May 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. Charles Medical Center Conference Room, Bend. The price to attend is $25 for AdFed members and $45 for non-members. Online registration closes at noon on Tuesday, May 21st. Registration at the door may be available depending on space.
