Bend Event Music led by Musical Director Bethany Willis provides live music and bands for wedding ceremonies, receptions, anniversaries and other special events throughout Central Oregon.
Bend Event Music aspires to provide the highest quality professional musicians to play for your wedding or special event with musical styles from classical to bluegrass. The musical options include unique arrangements from solo violin, classical duets to bluegrass trios and beyond. “The musicians are well prepared and are highly qualified experienced performers that are committed to excellence,” says Willis.
“Bend Event Music started out offering classy grass music that included the tradition of folk, the discipline of classical, the soul of blues and the heart of bluegrass,” explains Willis. Although this covers a wide range they will also try to find the musical genre you prefer to fit all occasions.
Willis is a talented high caliber professional musician with experience and playing credentials that are impressive and significant.
Starting violin music at an early age was easy for Willis and now with 34 years of playing, 20 of those years as a professional, she is a seasoned and accomplished performer.
“Because of my personality and background, the performance aspect of my job seems to come naturally to me as I’ve been performing since I was three years old,” says Willis.
In addition to her formal studies she had an opportunity to play in Opryland in Nashville Tennessee at just 17 and soon after began appearing in music videos and studio work. While in Nashville she spent a few years opening for acts such as Martina McBride and Alabama.
“There’s nothing more satisfying than to see all the rehearsals, planning and timing come together in that one perfect moment where all the details of the day really become magic,” Willis adds.
Finding music for that special occasion can be a difficult task whether it be for a wedding, private party, community event, family reunion or to celebrate a special moment with your friends and family. On finding the perfect music, Willis says, “If classy grass isn’t quite what the bride is looking for, I have Folk Americana groups, jazz trios, dance bands, straight bluegrass and Celtic/Scottish options available. And if I don’t happen to currently have what they want, I do my best to make sure I find that for them.”
Willis has enjoyed networking with other Central Oregon wedding planners, photographers, caterers and musicians to provide the best fit and music for new brides and grooms on their wedding day. Since beautiful outdoor locations are very popular for summer weddings Bend Event Music has experience in performing in locations either acoustic or amplified as may be required.
“I have a very high standard for myself, my performance, my musicians and the services and experiences I provide my clients with,” concludes Willis. “I really want to be known as the one you need to call.”
