BendFilm brew tasting and naming follow first preview of BendFilm Guide.
On Thursday, September 26, Deschutes Brewery & Public House will host BendFilm’s Kickoff Party and 10 Year Celebration Brew Preview from 6to 9pm in the upstairs tap room located at 1044 NW Bond Street in Downtown Bend. The event will feature the tasting and naming of a Belgian IRA brewed in honor of BendFilm’s 10th year in Central Oregon. Guests will also receive two beer tickets (good for anything on tap in the upstairs Tap Room), heavy appetizers and the first available copies of the BendFilm Guide — hot off the press. In addition, Festival passes will be available for purchase at a 10 percent discount and live music will be provided by local folk revival band Parlour. Tickets for the Brewery event are $20 if purchased in advance and $25 at the door. All proceeds will benefit BendFilm.
“We are proud to partner with Deschutes Brewery to kick off the BendFilm Festival and honored to have a special Deschutes brew to celebrate the Festival’s 10th year,” said Orit Schwartz, BendFilm Festival Director. “This event will give BendFilm enthusiasts a chance to taste the new BendFilm brew and help name it as well. We’ll also be handing out the very first copies of the BendFilm Guide and selling Festival passes at a discount.”
According to Schwartz, Deschutes Brewery is among many of the local businesses that have helped support the festival in various ways throughout the past 10 years.
