New coffee shop and café to open in September in the Westside neighborhood
Little Bite, which has been providing wholesale sandwiches to local businesses and serving NorthWest Crossing Farmers Market visitors for the last year, will be located in the space on the corner of Mt Washington and NW Crossing Drives, across from La Rosa Mexican Kitchen this fall. The new café will offer coffee, freshly made food, house made desserts, pastry treats and breakfast options.
Melissa Albright, owner of Little Bite Café and Wholesale, said, “I have been watching NorthWest Crossing grow over the last few years as my children have attended school inside the community. I have had my eye on the café spot for some time, and I am really excited to be part of the Northwest Crossing and the active, energetic vibe of the neighborhood.”
Little Bite was first established in 2012 and Albright tested the market for her wholesale sandwiches at the Farmers Market. When she had success, she founded the wholesale portion of the business that fall, creating sandwiches with fresh baked French baguettes filled with Boars Head meats, locally grown produce and locally made cheeses.
Over the last 13 years, Albright has garnered a wide variety of experience in the food industry, opening three restaurants, working as a line cook and being a personal chef. She attended Western Culinary Institute in
