American Red Cross & Mid Oregon Federal Credit Union Host Classes on Preparing for Unforeseen Disasters

0

To celebrate National Preparedness Month in September, two Central Oregon organizations are teaming up to host free disaster preparedness classes for community residents.

The American Red Cross Oregon Mountain River Chapter and Mid Oregon Federal Credit Union are partnering to celebrate National Preparedness Month in September. Join us in getting prepared for emergencies and natural disasters by picking up a copy of a free Red Cross preparedness guide, and registering for free disaster preparedness classes at Mid Oregon Credit Union branches. These actions can help to answer questions about what to do and where to go if a disaster were to strike here in Oregon.

Together We Prepare, a free community education class, provides hands-on information on how to prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters by making personal disaster plans, establishing family meeting places and addressing emergency communication strategies. Participants learn how easy it is to assemble a disaster kit and have the opportunity to ask questions related to individual preparedness plans.
