Every year the Advertising Federation of Central Oregon (AdFed) selects one non-profit to benefit from the collective expertise of the AdFed marketing, branding and advertising membership base. Through an intensive RFP process, one non-profit organization is selected for the annual Public Service Campaign based on merit, need and long-term sustainability.
AdFed is excited to announce a special partnership with Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO). EDCO’s long-term goal is to create more powerful branding and communication that generates improved understanding of how vital the organization is to Central Oregon. AdFed will help them to achieve this goal by refining their brand messaging and communicating their mission most effectively to the community.
AdFed and EDCO will begin this process directly by assembling the rebranding team which will be comprised of individuals from both organizations. AdFed will be sending a call out to the membership for needs and volunteer opportunities with this project. We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to the partnership, process and results.
“We are honored to be selected by AdFed,” said Roger Lee, Executive Director of EDCO. “2012 was EDCO’s best year ever in creating jobs and capital investment; 2013 looks to surpass that. Still, some people—even in the business community—don’t know what EDCO does. So we are very excited to work with the AdFed group to tell our story in a more powerful way.”
“AdFed brings incredible resources from membership to this campaign, from marketing research to logo development to communication strategies,” added Ruth Lindley, Marketing Manager at EDCO. “We’ve started working with a small discovery team and look forward to an ongoing collaboration to be unveiled in early 2014.”
“This year’s applicant list was incredibly competitive,” said April O’Meara, AdFed Public Service Chair. “We were looking for a partnership that would have a large impact on our community. EDCO’s team is incredibly hard working and dedicated to economic growth in Central Oregon. We feel privileged to partner on their rebrand.”
Last year’s AdFed Public Service Campaign was for BrightSide Animal Shelter (formerly the Humane Society of Redmond).
