The Where To Eat Guide & Associates Inc. announces the launch of its debut cookbook, Sizzle & Buzz: What’s Cookin’ in the Region’s Hottest Restaurants, on December 1.

Capturing stories, recipes, tips and tricks from acclaimed kitchens and personalities in Seattle, Portland and Bend, the book features full-color photography, exclusive stories from 50+ restaurants including Little Bird Bistro, Smallwares, Poppy, Spork and more.

From James Beard award-winning kitchens to up-and-coming stars of neighborhood favorites, Sizzle & Buzz gives the full flavor of the Pacific Northwest’s top dining destinations and invites readers to recreate their favorite dishes at home.

“This book is an amazing collection of recipes from the NW’s best restaurants. Cooking a dinner from this book lets you visit Portland, Seattle, Bend, and points in between without leaving home,” said Andrew Fortgang, Chef & Co-Owner at Le Pigeon and Little Bird.

The recipes, from The Blackstone at Chow in Bend to Spiced Delicata Squash at Poppy in Seattle to Duck Confit at Wildwood in Portland, are approachable and exciting to cooks of all levels and tastes. Readers will learn not only how to make the dishes, but also tips directly from the chefs that will help them grow in the kitchen and have fun while doing it.

“The Where To Eat Guide has represented the best restaurants for years. I wanted to create a cookbook that bridged our separate markets’ restaurateurs, leveraging their talents to raise money for charity,” said John Herbik, WTEG Founder & President

A portion of the Sizzle & Buzz proceeds will go to Fill Empty Plates through The Portland Police Bureau’s Sunshine Division, Operation Sack Lunch in Seattle, and the Hunger Prevention Coalition of Central Oregon.
