Conference Designed to Help People Apply for Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

0

The Oregon Medical Marijuana Business Conference (OMMBC) is set for January 30-31 at the Ashland Springs Hotel. The Oregon Health Authority will begin accepting applications for legal medical marijuana dispensaries on March 1, 2014. Many people are interested in opening a dispensary or getting involved in the medical cannabis industry but are unsure of how to do so, or what is required.

“This is a crash course on medical marijuana industry preparedness,” said Alex Rogers, CEO of Ashland Alternative Health and Northwest Alternative Health and the producer of the OMMBC. Medical cannabis dispensaries will need banking, insurance, lab testing, accounting, security and many other connected services.

The focus of this conference is to educate people about the precise details of the upcoming dispensary law and to inform them about ancillary opportunities related to the cannabis industry.

Rogers has recruited medical marijuana business and political leaders from Oregon and the West Coast to address these issues at the OMMBC. Some of the speakers are:

Anthony Johnson (Executive Director of the Oregon Cannabis Industry Association and New Approach Oregon)

Troy Dayton (CEO of The ArcView Group)

Don Duncan (Co-founder and California Director of Americans for Safe Access)

Rep. Peter Buckley (Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Ways and Means)

Aaron Smith (Co-founder and Executive Director of the National Cannabis Industry Association)

In addition to the speakers, there will also be an exhibit hall for cannabis related industries.
When? – January 30-31 (10am-5pm each day)
