The public is invited to an Open House on Tuesday, January 14 from 8am to 5pm at the Bend Senior Center to view the Master Plan for proposed renovations and expansions to the facility.
Bend Park & Recreation District staff will be on hand to show conceptual plans, answer questions and receive citizen feedback. Visitors may drop in at any time during the day. Over the past two years, the district has worked with two citizen committees and a local architectural firm to develop a master plan for future renovations and expansions of the Bend Senior Center.
Last June, the district purchased four acres between the existing center and 15th Street that was necessary for future expansion. The first phase of the project is anticipated to begin in the next year with future phases occurring as funds become available.
Owned and operated by Bend Park & Recreation District, the Bend Senior Center is located at 1600 SE Reed Market Rd, directly east of 15th Street.
