Linda Stelle, AmeriTitle’s president for the last 29 years, has announced her retirement. Stelle will leave AmeriTitle on April 1, 2014. This ends a long career at the helm of AmeriTitle. Stelle began her title and escrow career in 1978 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. In 1985 she became the first president of AmeriTitle when she joined with JELD-WEN to purchase the Klamath Falls office of what was then known as Mountain Title Company.
While President of AmeriTitle she directed the company through growth which now consists of 43 offices in Oregon, Washington and Idaho and which is now known as one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest and most successful title and escrow operations.
Stelle has been active in the Oregon Land Title Association as well as the American Land Title Association and most recently was awarded the certification of National Title Professional (NTP). Stelle is one of only 26 that have received the NTP designation in the United States.
Stelle moved to Central Oregon in 1986 when AmeriTitle purchased Central Oregon Title Company in Prineville and shortly thereafter purchased Bend Title Company in Bend, Oregon. “Leading the company during its immense growth and during an era of incredible growth of the Pacific Northwest was a rewarding and exciting time.” Stelle has established relationships with all the national underwriters which have proven valuable for the company and its customers.
Stelle will be replaced by Larry Matney from Boise, Idaho. Matney is the president of Futura Title and Escrow which is the holding company of AmeriTitle. Stelle will continue to serve on the AmeriTitle Board of Directors.
Having served in many community capacities over the years Stelle currently is a member of the Board of Directors of Partnersin Care, Hospice, and will continue her service to that organization.
