The Downtown Bend Business Association announces record occupancy for 1st quarter of 2014. The highest leasing rate in five years was set this week as 96 percent of the available spaces are occupied. The occupancy rate is based on the number of leased retail/restaurant spaces in the downtown district.
“We are pleased to see continued stability in market. The district is doing well and we attribute it to the diverse business mix and the ongoing support of the community. The DBBA is excited about this new record and we look forward to future growth,” says DBBA Executive Director Chuck Arnold.
New businesses starting up this quarter are located on:
Bond Street
841 Bond – The Basement is located in the downstairs of the Bend Trade Center (Bond Street Barbershop holds the retail street frontage). The Basement features eclectic clothing and merchandise complimented with local art. The style is vintage to current fashion.
841 Bond – Painted Paradise Gallery also joins downtown in the Bend Trade Center. The gallery features original art and hand-made frames.
Minnesota Avenue
114 Minnesota – On the north side of Minnesota shoppers will now find Red Pinecone, a specialty gift boutique which has an extensive collection of gourmet foods and specializes in gift baskets.
The DBBA is a private nonprofit organization representing approximately 350 businesses and 85 property owners working to keep Downtown Bend vibrant. The organization is responsible for downtown beautification, cleaning and maintenance, marketing, events, and keeping the business environment healthy.
