Spend your lunch hour with two local business women as they bring fresh enthusiasm and passion on the topic of Self-Care in Communication. The Deschutes County Library on Bend’s Eastside is hosting this motivational event Free to the community. Tuesday, May 13 at 12-1pm.

This motivational session will reveal how influential leaders harness the power of self-talk and social conversations. When combined these two forms of communication can create and sustain healthy boundaries, enabling you to thrive.   

This unique hands-on motivational series is designed to meet you right where you live, providing an awesome opportunity to learn and grow. The team of speakers will bring you dynamic and fresh approaches to everyday living and leadership, helping you get unstuck and feeling more confident than ever! The speakers:


Andrea Brown is an award winning speaker, consultant, and wilderness guide.  From facilitating customized workshops to consulting with owners and managers of multi-million dollar companies, she has taught communication strategies that have enabled individuals and companies to experience turnaround, improve performance, and increase revenue.  Strong leadership, effective communication, and creative problem solving skills are vital not only for surviving life’s challenges but for thriving despite them. 

Layla McGlone is a certified health coach with a passion to help people become the best version of themselves.  Working with individuals and teams, she delivers outside insight, consistent care and an inspiring dose of challenge to help people gain momentum and exceed their own expectations. She has spent the last 5 years coaching, prior to that she spent 15 years working in corporate communications and executive leadership.
