Join R. Rex Parris, Mayor of Lancaster California on June 19, 11:30-1pm at St. Charles Center for Health & Learning.
We all may feel a bit helpless when we confront the facts of climate change and the projections of how challenging life may become for our children and grandchildren. Mayor R. Rex Parris shows citizens and community leaders a practical approach for making meaningful and effective change at the community level. We may choose a different path to becoming more carbon neutral, but Landcaster, California shows us that it can be done and may help inspire us to do it.
R. Rex Parris is the popular three-term mayor of Lancaster where he has put the city well on the way towards becoming a carbon neutral, zero energy community. He is extremely knowledgeable about the science and impact of climate change and has more experience in bringing a city towards carbon neutrality than any person in the world.
Parris will talk about the financial benefits to the City of Lancaster, including new job creation.
