Bend Area Habitat for Humanity Partners with the Athletic Club of Bend to host a Spin for Xamira indoor cycling fundraiser at the Athletic Club of Bend on Saturday, May 31 from 9-11am. There is a suggested donation of $20 for the 2 hour ride or $15 for one hour. The event is open to the public. Set up and walk-in donations will be accepted beginning at 8:30am the day of the event.

All funds will be donated to the Mitma family (going through the BAHFH Homeownership program) to purchase a specialized walker for 6-year old Xamira who has cerebral palsy. Xamira is quickly outgrowing her petite mom and the family is working with her through surgeries and therapy to help her learn to walk with the assistance of adaptive equipment.

Indoor cycling bikes (Keiser and LeMond) are available for reservation to the first 30 registrants. Participants bringing their own bikes and indoor trainers are welcome. One hour bike reservations are available by request. Athletic Club of Bend cycling department instructors will take turns leading the ride, and door prizes will be given throughout the event.

Those wishing to make a donation can do so by contacting Christina Johansen at the Athletic Club of Bend at 541-322-5800 or DeeDee Johnson at BAHFH at 541-385-5387 ext.103.
