The Old Mill District unveils designs for its annual collectible pints; reward program continues to be wildly successful.

The Old Mill District announced the launch of the sixth year of its shopper loyalty program. Each year, the shopping district works with artists to design a series of four pints with distinctly Central Oregon themes. Shoppers can trade in $150 receipts for each pint until the full series is collected each year. The program sells out every year and has been wildly popular with both locals and visitors to the area.

“When we started this program, we had no idea it would be so incredibly popular,” said Noelle Fredland, marketing director for the Old Mill District. “Over the past few years, Bend has become known as a craft beer destination with nearly 30 breweries, and so the pint giveaway really fits in nicely. Our shoppers love the Bend-centric themes featured on the pints and look forward to collecting them each year.”

The four designs for 2014 feature the outdoor recreational activities of stand-up paddle boarding, skiing and snowboarding, golf and fly fishing. Designs are displayed on four new translucent colored Silipints, which are pints made of food-grade silicone, insulate for hot and cold, BPA free and virtually indestructible.

Fredland added, “of all the items offered in our receipt redemption program, more than 85 percent choose the Silipints.”

Shoppers can redeem $150 in combined receipts from any Old Mill District restaurant, shop, gallery or the cinema to get one pint of their choice. Receipts should be brought to the Ticket Mill next to Anthony’s in the Old Mill District for redemption. Receipts are valid up to six months from purchase date and must be dated no later than January 1, 2014 (one case maximum). Pints are also available for purchase for $10 each or all four for $38. Smartphone users can download the Perka App in order to track purchases and redeem for more prizes. www.theoldmill.com
