We Poop in Peace. Literally.

Bend is famous for its vast amount of creatives and entrepreneurs. Lil Poopie Nation, an alternative baby clothing company, has just introduced its summer line American Made children’s clothing.  Based in Bend, owners Jeffery and Kira Flones and their team state that ‘having fun’ and ‘not taking life too seriously’ is the basis behind the company.

“Though clothing from China is cheaper, what’s the cost to our local jobs? We employ eight people and I’m proud that we made the choice to stay on American soil. We print everything out of our shop here in Century Center on Bend’s west side,” says Jeffery.

The concept for Lil Poopie Nation came from the complicated birth of Jeffery’s son Samuel, who almost died as an infant. After three weeks with 40 other potentially terminal infants, the doctors finally let Jeffery know the IVs were coming out and his son Sam could wear his own clothes for the first time. Jeffery set out to buy his son some funny onesies and could only find cheesy ducks and flowers at the stores near the hospital.

Between the words “made in China” and the boring ornamentals on the clothing, the idea of Lil Poopie Nation was born. Jeffery’s son lived and is now 12 years old, healthy and happy.

“I Poop In Peace” has been their number one seller, as well as “I’m Here for the Boobs” a cancer tribute piece. Both onesies bring smiles and laughter to both babies and their parents.

“It’s clear to us who our clothes are for. Parents who have future rockstars, future punk rockers, mother suckers and compulsive diaper devils and parents who want to support American jobs.”
