Central Oregon Acupuncture is celebrating its tenth anniversary by expressing its gratitude to patients and the community at large. For the next ten months, starting now, the clinic is donating ten percent of its net profits to ten local organizations. The organizations include those that owner and acupuncturist Jennifer Cochrane has been personally involved with along with others she feels passionate about. The lineup:

December: Bend Community Center

January: Bethlehem Inn

February: Saving Grace

March: Healing Reins

April: KIDS Center

May: The Center Foundation

June: Assistance League of Bend

July: CASA of Central Oregon

August: Meadowlark Manor

September: Neighbor Impact

“Central Oregon Acupuncture has participated in fundraisers in the past, but I’ve wanted to contribute to the community in a more significant way for a long time,” says Cochrane, who graduated from Oregon State with a pre-med BS before attending Southwest Acupuncture College. “With our ten-year anniversary, this seemed the perfect time to celebrate our community and the clientele that has supported us for such a long time by giving back to both.”

Those patients who started with Central Oregon Acupuncture a decade ago can attest to the clinic’s growth from a single rented room at Lind Chiropractic to a clinic (with satellites in Redmond and Prineville) that boasts four acupuncturists with more than 35 years of combined experience, four massage therapists and an aesthetician.

Of course, free gifts are lovely. That’s why during the next ten months, the clinic will also hold a monthly drawing for existing — or new — patients to win a gift certificate from one of ten local businesses.

“At Central Oregon Acupuncture, our patients are our passion,” says Cochrane. “Our focus is on integrated care. By working with other members of our patients’ healthcare team, we can optimize the results of their treatment plan.”

With a certification in Naet (a non-invasive, natural, drug free, way to eliminate food, animal and seasonal allergies of any intensity) and as a nationally certified herbalist that can provide custom herbal formulas from its extensive herbal pharmacy, Central Oregon Acupuncture fulfills its mission to help people lead calmer, healthier and pain free lives.
