United Way of Deschutes County held the 17th Annual Days of Caring on June 21-22. Over 355 volunteers from local businesses lent a hand to 33 projects throughout Deschutes County. The event included 25 sponsors, 27 volunteer teams, 1,400+ volunteer hours, a $30,863.16 value to the community.
Volunteer teams from area businesses and individual volunteers not only see the needs of the community through working with service agencies, but they also play a part in meeting the agencies’ needs. Days of Caring provides an opportunity for individuals to share their talents and give back to the community at the same time. The 17th Annual Days of Caring is sponsored by SELCO Community Credit Union.
