Local Company Plans to Double Workforce

GL Solutions of Bend announced the awarding of a multi-million dollar contract (approximately $9 million) over five years from North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services. This contract employs GL Solutions to develop a new Business Process Automation System (BPAS) for the NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of Medicaid Management Information System Services (OMMISS) and Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR).

According to GL Solutions CEO Bill Moseley the contract will enable the company to increase its employees from 40 to 82 over the next four months. Founded in 1997 by former licensing administrators, GL Solutions serves a national clientele of state regulatory agencies with GL Ste easy-to-use, expert regulatory software tailored to meet each agency’s specific needs. GL Ste is a highly-flexible database system successfully implemented to support licensing, inspection, permitting, compliance, case management and enforcement activities in various environments. It received international recognition as a leader within the regulatory software market with a growing clientele of over 45 agencies across 18 states.

GL Solutions provides GL Suite, a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software system tailored for individual government regulatory agencies. The company’s undivided attention to the needs of government has resulted in a software program offering rich, built-in functionality within a framework that may be adjusted to the most specialized business processes. GL Ste improves an agency’s productivity and effectiveness by providing a single, web-based database system for managing licensure and certification activities including data entry, workflow, investigations, reporting and online applications and renewals.

DHSR regulates health care facilities and agencies, emergency medical services, and local confinement facilities, ensuring that the people in the care of these facilities/services are safe and receive appropriate care. The overall goal of the new system is to continue to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery, which in turn will improve beneficiary and population outcomes. DHHS sought a vendor with a strong technology base in business process management, experience within government health service regulation, and the technical expertise to implement in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

GL Solutions focuses exclusively on the support and advancement of each agency’s vision of operational excellence and public service. According to Brian Bennett of GL Solutions the company stands apart in the industry with the ability to meet all desired functionality at an affordable price, in a time frame that meets even the tightest schedules.

DHSR’s high-level project objective is to have GL Solutions implement GL Ste to improve productivity by reducing technology-driven silos in DHSR’s business and by automating manual business processes. The contract will come under the direction of the Office of Medicaid Management Information System Services and the work will be performed both on site at DHHS facilities and at GL Solutions headquarters in Bend.
