The green living environmental show at the C-3 Spring Festival at NorthWest Crossing within the Conscious Living Showcase area is set for April 12-13. “We are in our third year with the Conscious Living Showcase and it is now continuously sold out for spring, summer and fall,” reports Jim Kone, organizer of the showcase.
The Conscious Living section is made up of energy conservation merchants with products and services that have less impact on our environment plus renewable and sustainable. The Conscious Living section gives them a chance to show the pubic just how they do that. The Conscious Living street hosts businesses and nonprofits that raise our quality of life with their products and services. Spend some time talking with these people throughout the weekend and you are guaranteed to leave with an increased awareness of the good that exists in your backyard.
“We also invite and had companies that have projects in Central Oregon such as Alta Rock Energy Geo Thermal project, Environmental Center, Energy Trust, Oregon High School Solar Car Team, Clean Energy Works Oregon and the Deschutes County Department Solid Waste,” says Kone. “I am in constant pursuit of projects within Central Oregon that we could showcase at the largest public gatherings in Central Oregon the C-3 festivals.”
In addition to the Conscious Living showcase inspired by Bend’s fantastic cycling culture and forward-thinking trendsetters who make art, clothing and function from repurposed materials, the festival also brings you Cycle/Recycle! New to NorthWest Crossing Bend Spring Festival, this theme of art, gear and activities will be seen throughout the festival weekend.
