The ORbike Full-Ride Scholarship is an opportunity for individuals to receive free passes to one of the 2021 ORbike events. This initiative is geared towards riders who have faced barriers and/or experienced marginalization in event participation. Unfortunately, there have been many involvement barriers within the cycling industry. This annual initiative strives to be a part of breaking down barriers in our event community. All are welcome to tell their story. Priority recipients are individuals who identify as BIPOC. Twenty-one scholarships will be awarded in 2021.
HOW TO ENTER
To enter for your chance to receive an OR Bike Full-Ride Scholarship, go to the “Full-Ride Program” page, where you submit a story in 500 words or less explaining why you think that you, or your nominee, deserves to be selected as a recipient of the ride passes.
The scholarships can be used at any ORbike event: Portland Century, Petal Pedal or Harvest Century. There is no pass limit and families are encouraged to apply.
