Oregon State Representative Vikki Breese Iverson has announced that House Bill 3141 designating the third Tuesday in March as Oregon Farmer & Rancher Day has been signed into law by the Governor.
Last week they held a ceremonial bill signing with the Governor and other special guests including Cattlemen’s Association and Farm Bureau as well as several Oregon farmers and ranchers including Milnie Macy from HD 59. Iverson thanks the many Representatives and Senators who joined her in support of this legislation.
Farmers and ranchers are the backbone of our great state. They are the foundation of statehood, work to feed our local communities and show up when communities are in need.
“HB 3141 is our opportunity to recognize the hard work, dedication and invaluable contributions of our farmers and ranchers. I look forward to seeing our ag industries use this day to celebrate everything Oregon grows and remind Oregonians how large and diverse the Oregon Ag industry is.”
