Local startup Party Box has launched its first line of curated boxes of sustainable party supplies. All products and packaging are earth-friendly while maintaining a fun and elegant appearance. Every box contains the basics to set up a complete party for ten children and two adults, including decorations, table settings, goody bags, candles and thank you cards. Boxes can be upgraded to include organic, non-GMO snacks that are free of common allergens and all boxes can be tailored for party theme colors, age group and numbers.
“We provide that sweet spot where convenience meets sustainability,” states co-founder Stuart Eaton. “We want to make the use of biodegradable products easy, affordable and fun.”
Having high-quality supplies already selected and bundled allows recipients to arrive at their venue, open their Party Box, and effortlessly have everything ready to go. To minimize waste, items are grouped in the number desired and are bound with hemp string that can be reused to hang paper lanterns and biodegradable balloons. Even the delivery boxes themselves are designed to serve as an eco-friendly trash receptacle by having an included Bio-bag placed inside.
Party Box was founded by former teachers Stuart and Melissa Eaton, both longtime residents of Bend. After serving single-use plastics at numerous birthday parties, they knew there had to be a more environmentally-friendly approach to parties that was still convenient and appealing. They began researching and testing products and making some of their own and received such enthusiastic feedback that they packaged their favorites so you can throw your own sustainable party.
