Playful Paws Cat Café, Bend’s favorite place to relax with rescue cats, is proud to announce an incredible new milestone: its 400th successful cat adoption.
Since opening its doors in August 2023, Playful Paws Cat Café has become both a cherished community gathering space and a must-visit Bend destination for travelers. The café offers guests a one-of-a-kind opportunity to unwind in the calming company of adoptable cats — whether they’re local residents stopping in for their weekly “cat fix” or visitors discovering one of Bend’s most unique experiences. Through its ongoing partnership with local rescue group CCREW, the café has now helped 400 cats find loving forever homes.
“Our mission from the start was to help cats in need while creating a joyful, welcoming space for the community,” said April Ferguson, owner of Playful Paws Cat Café. “Reaching 400 adoptions is something I could only have dreamed of when we first opened. It’s been incredible to see locals embrace us as part of their routine, while also welcoming guests from all over who make us part of their Bend itinerary. Every adoption represents a life changed — both for the cat and for the family who welcomes them home.”
Playful Paws Cat Café works closely with CCREW to provide a safe, enriching environment where cats can socialize and connect with potential adopters in a relaxed setting. Guests can visit the cat lounge by reservation or walk-in availability, spending quality time with the cats while learning about the adoption process.
