The 2018 I Believe Benefit Dinner & Auction will be held at the Deschutes County Fairground on Saturday, December 8. Doors will open at 5pm with the start of the Silent Auction, followed by dinner at 6:30pm and Live Auction to follow. This benefit directly benefits the Redmond High School FFA Chapter for the year. This event requires a ticket which you can purchase from an FFA student for $20. Corporate table sponsorships can be purchased for $400 (please contact for more information).
Over the course of the last year, students were able to experience all travel events at a discounted rate as result of the benefit; these events included State Vet Sciences, Arizona Nationals, Chico State University Field Days, OSU CDE Days, State Convention, State Fair, and State Floriculture. In addition to all travel events at a discount, the chapter was also able to fully fund one student to attend the National FFA Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) in our Nation’s Capital. Abby Walker was the recipient of this scholarship and spent a week in Washington, D.C. as a participant in the program.
Here are some highlights of the 2017-2018 year:
● 3rd place in the Oregon State Veterinary Sciences CDE, 4th place B Team
● 3rd place at the Oregon State Livestock Judging CDE, 1st place in Beginning Livestock Judging CDE
● 5th place at the District Tractor Driving CDE, 1 high individual
● 3rd place at the Central Oregon District Ag Sales CDE
● 1st place at the Arizona National Livestock Show in Creed Speaking, 5th place in Livestock Judging
● 1st place at CSU Field Day in Marketing Plan, 8th in Livestock Judging, 10th in Poultry Judging, 8th in Ag Mechanics
● 3rd place at Oregon State Convention in Marketing Plan
● 1st place at Central Oregon District Leadership Camp in Beginning & Advanced Rituals
● 2nd place at OSU CDE Days State in Poultry
● 5th place OSU CDE Days State in Food Science
● 1st place State Fair Livestock Judging, eligible for National FFA Convention
● Greenhand Degrees (29) & Chapter Degrees (12)

● Community Donations: Over 2000 lbs. of food collected for the Neighborhood Impact Food Pantry
