Neighbors for a Safe Redmond thanks voters for passing measure 9-145, the GO Bond to build a new Public Safety Facility in Redmond.
“Thank you, Redmond voters, for supporting local public safety! This new facility will meet our growing city’s needs today and for decades to come,” said Angela Boothroyd, a co-chair of the committee. Boothroyd is a realtor and active community leader in Redmond. “A safe place to live, work, attend school, and play is fundamental for a community. When people feel safe, they can engage, grow, and give back.”
“Passing this GO bond to support public safety is a smart investment by our community. The new facility will meet our needs for 30 years and the location will support future expansion, when that time comes decades down the road,” said Bev Clarno, a co-chair of the committee. Clarno is Oregon’s former Secretary of State, former State Senator and former State Representative and House speaker. “Public safety is an important part of a thriving community. We are fortunate to have many excellent men and women serving Redmond.”
The $40 million bond will fund construction of a new public safety facility estimated at $40 Million. This investment will cost taxpayers approximately $12/month. The new Public Safety Facility will be constructed at 2983 NW Canal Blvd.
