State Representative E. Werner Reschke joined local city and county leaders in a groundbreaking ceremony for the La Pine Wellness Center on Thursday, to celebrate the start of construction for the new 27,000-foot, three-story building that will be constructed adjacent to the current La Pine Community Health Center.
“When I learned of this project last year, it was important to help with funding. During the 2023 legislative session, I worked to secure $3,000,000 in state funding specifically for this project. The La Pine Wellness Center is a big win for this community and the surrounding area.”
The La Pine Wellness Center project will expand primary care services by 45%, include a new dental office, provide mental health services, diagnostic imaging services, daycare for employees, remodel administration offices and offer the community a public-use conference room. The La Pine Community Health Center serves the residents of La Pine and the people of North Klamath and North Lake County.
“I am extremely pleased to help extend the reach and services of the La Pine Community Health Center team. Having local access to good, modern healthcare is essential to sustaining a healthy community. I congratulate La Pine’s local leaders who rallied to build a vision, build a team and soon build a new wellness center that will benefit many people for decades to come.”
