Next week on September 26, two workshops will be held in Bend to help attendees apply for seasonal positions available on the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and the Crooked River National Grassland. The Forest Service is currently accepting applications for seasonal spring and summer jobs in Oregon and Washington. Applications must be submitted on www.USAjobs.gov between September 17 – Ocober 12.
The first event on September 26 will be held at OSU Cascades in Tykeson Hall Room 109 from 1-2pm. Later in the day, Central Oregon Community College (COCC) will be providing Barber Library Room 118 from 4-7pm for the Forest Service, Central Oregon STEM Hub and other community partners to host another hiring workshop. Computers will be available during the COCC event so attendees can work on applications and ask questions. Attendees are welcome to drop in at any time during the events.
At these workshops, there will be opportunities to learn more about job opportunities with the Forest Service, including specifics about positions available in central Oregon directly from local Forest Service employees. In addition, employees will be there to help applicants navigate the federal application process on USAjobs.gov and provide essential tips for successful applications. To make the most of their time, participants should bring a current resume and create a profile in USAjobs.gov prior to the event.
