Sleep Country USA, the Northwest’s largest mattress retailer, will join its West-Coast sister brand under the Sleep Train banner. This includes the store in the Bend, Oregon Cascade Village Shopping Center. Continued growth, improved internet presence, new opportunities for employees and the expansion of their award-winning Foster Kids program are cited as key factors in the decision to combine the brands under one Sleep Train name.

“For many years, we’ve been operating side-by-side with the same services, same selection, same guarantees, and same commitment to our community through the Foster Kids Program, and now we are unifying the companies under one banner name, Sleep Train,” said Gina Davis, vice president of branding at Sleep Country. Sleep Train is also converting stores in other markets for a total of over 270 stores in Oregon, Washington, California and Nevada.

Sleep Train, like Sleep Country, is an entrepreneurial success story that showcases a business committed to the well-being and satisfaction of its community, its customers and its employees. Sleep Train will provide customers a seamless experience, maintaining all guarantees and warranties for past and future purchases.  The Foster Kids program, including the annual Pajama Bowl event, will maintain its relationships with local non-profit organizations that aid foster children and host its annual collections for essential material items – now under the Sleep Train banner.

Sleep Country stores will undergo the signage change in the Northwest beginning in July, continuing through the fall.  Sales, promotions and the annual Foster Kids donation drives will remain on schedule at both Sleep Country and Sleep Train locations.  Currently in the Northwest, Sleep Country, now Sleep Train in Oregon markets, is collecting new clothing in all sizes for its Clothing Drive for Foster Kids.  Donations are welcome at any one of the more than 70 stores in the region through Sunday, July 19th.  Find a store or donate online at www.sleeptrain.com. All donations are distributed to regional nonprofit foster organization partners.

“We, along with our local community, have embraced the Sleep Country name for over twenty years.  Changing it required a great deal of consideration in order to make the best choice for our customers, our employees and local foster kids. We are confident the Northwest will see that truly nothing has changed but the name and that we are still the same great company they have trusted for years,” closed Davis.
