Bend Park and Recreation District will have a spring break job fair from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, March 28, at Juniper Swim and Fitness Center. Attendees can learn what it takes to be a swim instructor and/or lifeguard.
Attendees will also gain information about jobs available and duties, upcoming certification classes and benefits available to BPRD employees.
Human resources and hiring managers for the swim program will attend to answer questions and offer swim tests for interested candidates.
The swim test includes a 200-meter swim (freestyle or breaststroke); treading water for two minutes with hands and ears out of water and retrieving a ten-pound brick off the bottom of the 12-foot deep pool, which will be performed back-to-back without breaks.
