Technology Association of Oregon COVID19 Response & Contingency Plans

0

Technology Association of Oregonas an event-heavy organization, is monitoring the COVID19 situation very closely. For the time being, the following practices are in place regarding TAO events:

  • It’s time to forgo the handshakes for the fist bump, elbow tap or friendly wave.
  • Hand sanitizer and bleach wipes will be available at the registration area of all our events.
  • If you are feeling sick, please stay home. We are suspending our current cancellation policy for the foreseeable future — meaning you can receive a full refund if you cancel event attendance due to illness anytime before the start of the event. This is usually only offered 24-48 hours prior to an event.
  • If we have to postpone an event, we are working on communication plans for both attendees and sponsors including our ability to reschedule or offer a virtual option.

While major events are difficult to reschedule, we are sensitive to quarantines, school closures and unforeseen circumstances that may alter our plans.

Our contingency plan is under way, including the possibility that some TAO events may become more unique, interactive and virtual experiences.
