Tread Tabata is opening their first West Coast location on Bend’s Eastside at 1462 NE Cushing Drive in November. Tread Tabata was founded by Boston-based fitness guru, Kathy Glabicky in 2011. Owner Audrey deRosa decided to open a Tread Tabata after relocating to Bend last fall.

“When I moved from the Boston area, something was missing,” deRosa said.  “That something was my daily hangout, Tread Tabata. I’m so excited to be bringing this workout to Central Oregon.”

You can do anything for 20 seconds. This is the mantra behind the signature Tread Tabata class — a full body HIIT workout that pairs 20-second tabata treadmill or Spin bike cardio sprints with an always changing, floor strength workout set to deliver efficient conditioning and an effective afterburn for all levels of fitness in 45 minutes.

deRosa and Tread Tabata instructors will lead two pop-ups that give the community a “taste” of (sans the treadmills) what you can expect by walking into a Tread Tabata class on October 15 at 5pm at Pilot Butte State Park and October 17 at 8:30am at Pine Nursery Park. The event will feature bodyweight exercises along with resistance bands (provided) along with having COVID-19 safe social distancing practices in place. Please bring a mat and water and be prepared to sweat!
