The United Way of Deschutes County and Sunriver Resort will host the 7th Annual United Way Charity Golf Classic on Sunday, May 31 at the Resort’s Crosswater Club. Players and sponsors are now being sought. All tournament proceeds will be directed to the United Way of Deschutes County and will be utilized in the funding of over 30 local human service programs, each year serving approximately 70,000 local residents.
The Crosswater Club is a privately owned and operated golf and social club. United Way of Deschutes County is most grateful to Sunriver Resort for once again hosting the Annual United Way Charity Golf Classic on this premier course. Crosswater was designed by award-winning architect Bob Cupp and honored by Golf Digest as one of “America’s 100 Greatest Courses”. Sunriver Resort generously directs event proceeds to United Way of Deschutes County which in turn helps financially assist numerous local social service programs. In addition to generating much needed funding, this annual event provides exciting opportunities for both players and sponsorships.
Registration is now open for the shotgun-style tournament, which begins at 1pm and is limited to 36 foursomes. Cost for a foursome in the tournament is $780 and includes 18 holes of golf at Crosswater with cart, silent auction and a post-golf barbecue and awards ceremony. Individuals can also register to play this private course and enjoy the entire event for $195 each, or enjoy the BBQ and silent auction for only $50, all while giving back to the community.
“Sunriver Resort has a strong history of supporting the United Way of Deschutes County’s mission, and the Charity Golf Classic is a great way for other businesses and individuals to join us in their effort to seek solutions to our community’s most urgent human service problems,” said Tom O’Shea, managing director of Sunriver Resort
Sponsorship opportunities begin at $300. Multiple sponsorship packages are available, including Gold ($5,000), Silver ($2,500), Bronze ($1,000) and Individual Hole signage ($300).
