TourBend opened its doors September 3 in downtown Bend. As Bend’s only adventure agent, TourBend’s experienced staff of locals and outdoor enthusiasts are ready to help travelers choose the right guided tours, gear rentals, sightseeing trips and how-to classes to get the most out of their Central Oregon vacation, while easing the stress of planning an independent trip.
Owner and operator Brad Goettemoeller has more than 20 years of experience working in the tourism industry and has traveled throughout Europe and Central and South America. Goettemoeller is an avid kayaker, mountain biker, skier and hiker and is well rooted in the local community. He has been working in downtown Bend for years and observed many travelers who are looking for activities, but are not quite sure what to do.
“Bend has so many opportunities to have fun and sometimes the choices can be overwhelming… especially for visitors to the area,” Goettemoeller said. “While there are resources to help visitors plan their excursions, there is not one location that people can go to actually book all of the opportunities that are here in Central Oregon.”
With so many options in the great outdoors, TourBend offers a one-stop reservation resource for everything from quirky cycle cab tours of downtown to helicopter rides over the Crooked River. If you’re looking to plunge down the mighty Deschutes in a whitewater raft as well as experience the volcanic history of Sunriver by mountain bike in the same weekend, TourBend will match you up with the perfect activities for the season, your ability level and quest for adventure.
While the hotel concierge desk and the visitor center are great places to do research and find out more about all Central Oregon has to offer, only TourBend will help you actualize your vacation plans by personalizing everything you need to know for your great Bend adventure… and the best part is, it’s free!
TourBend is excited to be working with some of Bend’s most reputable tour operators like Sun Country Tours, Leading Edge Aviation, Cogwild Bike Tours, Green Energy Transportation and Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe. They will be adding many more companies to their roster in the coming months.
“Every operator we’ve talked to is excited to work with us because we are an additional resource who is promoting tourism in Bend,” Goettemoeller said. “Our success will mean more business for them as well.”
