We’ve been printing in Bend since 1999, and honestly, the last few years have brought more change to this industry than the decade before. The way businesses think about print has shifted. What people need, how fast they need it and how much they want to order has all changed. Two things we keep seeing more and more of are short-run label printing and large format work like banners, posters, yard signs and temporary signage. Both say something interesting about where things are headed in 2026.
Short-Run Labels: Print What You Need, When You Need It
For a long time, getting labels printed meant placing a big order, waiting a few weeks and storing boxes of inventory you hoped would still be accurate by the time you used them. That worked fine when products and packaging stayed the same for years at a stretch. But that’s not really how most businesses operate anymore.
We’re seeing a lot of Central Oregon businesses come in needing smaller quantities and needing them quickly. A local food producer who just got into a new retail account and needs labels this week. A small brewery rolling out a seasonal release. A wellness brand testing a new product before committing to a larger run. These aren’t huge orders, but they’re real needs, and short-run label printing is exactly the right tool for them.
Because we print labels in-house here in Bend, we can turn these around fast and actually talk through the details with you along the way. If something looks off before it goes to press, we catch it. That kind of back-and-forth is hard to get when you’re uploading files to a website and waiting for a box to show up.
Less waste, lower upfront cost and the freedom to update your look whenever it makes sense. For a lot of our customers, that flexibility alone makes a real difference.
Large Format: Getting Noticed Out in the World
There’s a funny thing that happens when everything moves online. Physical signage starts to stand out more, not less. A banner in front of your shop, a yard sign at a busy intersection, an A-frame on the sidewalk outside your door. People actually see those. They’re not scrolling past them.
Large format printing has been a steady and growing part of our business, and it makes sense when you think about who’s asking for it. Real estate agents, contractors, nonprofits putting on events, restaurants with weekend specials, retailers running sales. The common thread is that these are people who need to reach customers in the real world, not just online.
Coroplast signs have become one of the more popular things we print. The material holds up well outdoors, it’s affordable enough to order several at a time, and it’s genuinely useful for temporary signage that needs to look professional. A-frames for coffee shops and boutiques, yard signs for events and campaigns, job site signs for contractors. Bend’s weather can be unpredictable, and coroplast handles it well.
Banners are similar. We produce a lot of them for trade shows, storefronts, festivals and markets throughout the year. One thing we hear often is that customers appreciate being able to call us when something comes up last minute. We can’t always pull off miracles, but we try, and being local means we at least have that conversation.
Still Here, Still Local
Twenty-six years in Bend has taught us a lot about what local businesses actually need from a print shop. It’s not just about price or turnaround time, though those matter. It’s about working with someone who picks up the phone, who can look at your project and offer an honest opinion, and who will still be here if something needs to be fixed.
We’ve watched a lot of customers try national online printers and come back. Not because online printing is bad, but because there are things a local shop can do that a website simply can’t.
If you’re thinking about labels, banners, signage or anything else print-related in 2026, we’d love to talk. Stop by, give us a call or shoot us an email. We’re good at figuring out what makes sense for what you’re trying to do.
