WHAT: The Old Mill District is excited to welcome Sutiki Emporium to its growing list of businesses offering a variety of shopping experiences. Sutiki Emporium offers unique bohemian home decor and furniture sourced directly from Bali. The Emporium opens Wednesday, August 5 and will be located in the Little Red Shed (next to Somewhere That’s Green and Vanilla Urban Threads) in the Old Mill District through mid-October.
Sutiki Emporium is owned and operated by Danny Fry, who has lived around the world and now calls Bend home. Fry sources handmade furniture, lighting and household accessories representing a wide range of Balinese artisans. Typical items include reclaimed Teakwood, handcrafted furniture, baskets, artwork, kitchenware, home decor and more. Fry travels to Bali several times a year to personally select unique new pieces to import. Sutiki Emporium works closely with each artist and proudly shares their stories all the way to Bend.
“The art and pure beauty of Bali have forever changed my life,” said Fry. “It’s an honor to help people integrate this beauty into their homes here in Bend.”
