Mt. Bachelor Creates Winter Stimulus Package

Mt. Bachelor announced a winter stimulus package featuring a wide range of new deals designed to attract both local and regional skiers and riders. New deals include free skiing for teens and kids with a paying adult on every multi-day ticket, double your days free on any pre-purchased multi-day ticket from www.mtbachelor.com, $29 lift tickets Sunday-Friday for guests brought by a season pass holder, and a hooky day deal offering $29 lift tickets for all guests Tuesday-Thursday when purchased in advance at www.mtbachelor.com.

These new offers have been created to help spur visitation to Mt. Bachelor and stimulate the Central Oregon winter economy.

“Season pass sales went very well this fall, but the current economic realities require we consider more aggressive and enticing offers. Additional guests at Mt. Bachelor will bring increased traffic to our region’s businesses,” said Dave Rathbun, president and general manager.

The Deals:
Kids Ski Free – Teens and kids under the age of 18 get a free multi-day ticket with the purchase of an adult multi-day ticket. One free kids ticket per paid adult. Additional multi-day kids tickets available at a 50 percent discount for families with additional kids. Offer not valid February 14-16.

Double Your Days – Purchase a two-or three- day ticket online at www.mtbachelor.com and get four days of consecutive skiing. Purchase a three- or four- day ticket online and get seven days of consecutive skiing.

Season Pass Bring a Friend – The original five bring a friend tickets loaded on all adult passes for $50 each has a new twist: now bring your friends for $29 Sunday-Friday non-holiday, or use them Saturdays and Holidays for the original $50. This offer has also been added to Teen and youth season passes.

Hooky Days – Purchase a one day ticket online in advance for a non-holiday Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for $29. Tickets are available online Friday-Monday for the following period.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2008-2009 season, Mt. Bachelor is the sixth largest ski resort in North America, offering 3,683 acres of lift-accessible terrain. New this year, the connection of the back catch lines offers additional expert bowl and glade terrain to be explored. The mountain features 10 lifts, seven of which are Express Quads, plus two tubing lifts and wonder carpet and an average annual snowfall of 370 inches. Mt. Bachelor also features terrain parks, 56K of groomed and tracked cross country trails, snowshoeing, tubing and sled dog rides.
