Assistance League of Bend hosts its annual fundraising Gala with a “Boots, Buckles & Bling!” theme this year. The event will be held at the Riverhouse Convention Center on Saturday, November 5, starting at 5:30pm. Guests will enjoy dinner, auctions, live music and line dancing straight out of the Old West.
“This is such a fun event that our community looks forward to every year. Each year tops the last, and the theme this year is sure to be another crowd-pleaser,” says Joan Craig, President of Assistance League of Bend. “We invite all that would like to kick up their boots and enjoy a festive evening while supporting those local children and adults that need our help. It promises to be a hoot, and every dollar raised will make a real impact right here in our local communities,” she said.
Assistance League of Bend is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people in need in Deschutes County. The organization prides itself in operating with little overhead and guarantees that all funds raised will stay local.Its major philanthropy is Operation School Bell®, providing school clothes to children in need in the Bend-La Pine and Redmond school districts. Last year more than 2,000 children in Deschutes County received clothes and benefitted from Assistance League of Bend.
All donation amounts will be accepted and appreciated.At the Gala this year, a private family foundation has generously committed to a maximum benefit of $25,000 and will match all pledges between $250 – $2,500.All proceeds go toward Operation School Bell helping to potentially provide school clothes to a record number of children in Deschutes County for the 2016-17 school year.
Tickets are on sale for individual and corporate attendees. Tickets are $100 per person or $1,000 for a 10-person table. Festive or western themed attire is optional.
