A few months ago Kenneth Czepelka started a new meetup on meetup.com called Bend Business Brainstorm and reports they have recently passed the 50 member mark. The idea behind this particular meetup group is to bring together people with business ideas and people looking to hear out business ideas and to brainstorm those ideas to create viable solutions.
“For example, a typical meeting might involve someone with an idea for a new hi-tech product, a non-profit event, a cultural center, a kickstarter project, a food cart, a film or anything in between giving a presentation and opening a discussion with other members to shake down that idea” explained Czepelka.
“Some members may just chose to have a shakedown, other members with ideas may wish to form teams to see the idea through with the help of members.”
The overall philosophy of the group is to bring people together to motivate members to move forward with ideas that would eventually grow into real working businesses through brainstorming and/or teambuilding.
