Bend Outdoor Worx (BOW), Central Oregon’s outdoor industry accelerator, announce the inaugural Bend Outdoor Worx Breakout Award. The Breakout Award will be a cash prize of $5,000 (and growing) given to an early stage outdoor company in Central Oregon. The Breakout Award will be presented by Beaver Theodosakis at the Oregon Outdoor Alliance event being held on October 14 at The Old Stone Church.

Bend Outdoor Worx Breakout Award was created as part of BOW’s mission to help start-up outdoor companies succeed and thrive in Bend, and as a way to further showcase the outdoor industry cluster in Central Oregon leading up to the Bend Venture Conference. The Breakout Award is available to companies based in Central Oregon, producing or curating an outdoor consumer product, with $1 – $500,000 in gross annual sales.

Ten semi finalists of the Breakout Award will be invited to the October 2 pitch day. The companies will share their vision with a panel of Bend Outdoor Worx mentors. Following the pitch session, three finalists will be selected to present at the Oregon Outdoor Alliance event on October 14.

The three finalists will give a presentation to the audience at the OOA event who will vote to determine a winner. Keynote speaker, Beaver Theodosakis, founder of Prana and a branding expert with a proven track record of building successful brand in the outdoor lifestyle spaces, will award the check behalf of Bend Outdoor Worx.

Sponsors of the Bend Outdoor Worx Breakout Award include Bend Outdoor Worx, HydroFlask, The Bridge, White Summers and Price Fronk.
