BestCare Treatment Services Launches Platform to Help Individuals in Recovery for Substance Use Disorder

BestCare Treatment Services recently announced the availability of a unique solution from CHESS Health, the leading provider of service-enabled technology supporting the addiction management and recovery lifecycle.

BestCare has implemented the eRecovery platform, which includes technology (including the evidence-based Connections app), peer support and engagement processes for improving the recovery outcomes of individuals with SUD.

The program is especially needed in the wake of increased overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Individuals at all BestCare Treatment Services locations will have access to Connections app and 24/7 peer support to help reduce isolation, gain motivation, build confidence and adhere to treatment and recovery plans. Individuals can also access CBT for Recovery, a suite of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) video vignettes with actors to teach how to manage one’s own substance use.

“The Connections app from CHESS Health allows us to strengthen our mission of compassionate care through the use of the best research-based recovery app in the nation,” says Rick Treleaven, CEO of BestCare Treatment Services. “Now, the people we provide care to can get support at anytime and anywhere they may be. This will be a valuable complement to our treatment and recovery services, supporting real outcomes for real people.”

Like other programs across the country, BestCare saw an increase in patients, alumni and others in the community who struggled with isolation and barriers to access for support services during the pandemic. As demand continues to rise for critical addiction and mental health services such as those that BestCare provides throughout Central and Southern Oregon, CHESS provides one more valuable tool to help those struggling with addiction stay connected to the care and support they need.

“It’s essential that recovery support reach patients where they are,” said Hans Morefield, CEO of CHESS Health.  “That means getting support tools like the Connections app in individuals’ hands as they leave treatment facilities, start outpatient care or even pre-treatment.  We’re proud to partner with the team at BestCare Treatment Services — the perfect complement to our technology.”
