The City Club of Central Oregon is kicking off its spring membership drive today, April 18 with an event at the Humm Kombucha Taproom in Bend. Anyone interested in joining City Club are invited to attend.
“Members are the lifeblood of City Club,” Executive Director Kim Gammond said. “Our members keep us strong — now and into the future. The larger our membership, the better we’re able to deliver the highest-quality monthly programs on issues that are vital to a growing Central Oregon.”
The launch event included a presentation on civility delivered by City Club executive director, Kim Gammond. The discussion included data on attitudes toward civility, and featured City Club’s seven tools of civility.
As a 501c3 nonprofit, members and sponsors are the organization’s key funding sources. “Members contribute 25 percent of our revenues,” Gammond added. “That’s what makes it possible for us to fulfill our mission is to build a conscious and civic-minded community through dialogue, education and research that results in responsible civic engagement.”
City Club membership is open to all individuals, companies, and organizations interested in civic responsibility, public issues, and networking opportunities. A range of membership plans and sponsorship levels can be matched to individual needs.
