CVIP Seeks Program Manager to Lead EPA Community Change Grant Initiative

Chiloquin Visions in Progress (CVIP) is seeking a dedicated program manager to lead public outreach and engagement activities for the EPA Community Change Grant and manage the Wood Stove Replacement Program. CVIP is proud to partner with the City of Chiloquin on the transformative Community Resilience Hub and Municipal Center project. This initiative, funded by an EPA Community Change Grant, will strengthen our community’s resilience and address critical needs through innovative programs and the construction of a cutting- edge Municipal Center that will serve as a resilience hub for the community.

This position coordinates public events, manages stakeholder communication, conducts community surveys, aims to replace up to 150 non-EPA-compliant wood stoves in the project area, improving residents’ air quality and energy efficiency, and reports progress to the City of Chiloquin, CVIP Board of Directors, and project collaborators.

“This position is critical to helping our community transition to cleaner heating solutions while en-gaging residents in meaningful discussions about developing a new resilience hub for the Chilo-quin community,” said Patrick Burkhart, vice president of the CVIP Board of Directors. “We are seeking someone passionate about community development and environmental sustainability to lead this effort.”

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive outreach strategy for the EPA grant
  • Plan and lead quarterly public outreach events, community meetings, and preparedness
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with residents, local organizations, and project
  • Conduct community surveys to assess preparedness and share findings with
  • Develop and implement the Wood Stove Trade-Out Program following EPA
  • Hire and manage local licensed contractors for stove
  • Manage incoming requests for stove replacements and maintain an organized tracking
  • Prioritize homes within the project area for stove replacements based on established
  • Collaborate with partners conducting indoor air quality
  • Provide regular progress updates to the City of Chiloquin, CVIP Board of Directors, and project

The ideal candidate will have experience in community engagement, environmental initiatives, project management, and strong communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with the Chiloquin community is a plus.
