FURBALL Dogs on the Catwalk in Bend, Oregon

On Friday, August 28 Bend Spay+Neuter Project will host the sixth annual Furball fundraising event at Aspen Hall in Shevlin Park. This year’s theme is Dogs on the Catwalk and will feature a doggie fashion show among other attractions.

The event is presented by Birkenstock of Bend and Bend Veterinary Clinic. Other sponsors include
Dancin’ Woofs Compassionate Dog Training and Daycare, Mill Point Dental, Don Francisco coffee, Lavabelles Vacation Rentals and Brooks Resources.

The event kicks off at 6pm with live Hawaiian music from world renowned musician, Bill Keale, followed by a delicious buffet dinner by Mother’s Café catering featuring local microbrews from Three Creeks Brewing, spirits from Backdrop Distilling and Oregon Spirits and cider and sangria from Atlas and
Volcano Vineyards.

There will be a huge silent auction, raffle and wine wall, with all proceeds from the event benefitting Bend Spay+Neuter Project. The highlight of the evening will most certainly be the doggie fashion show featuring local dogs dressed to the nines competing to be top dog. Fronted by a vocal vet of local theater and other music Anna “Sweet Red” Thedford and the Red Hot Billies will finish out the evening playing a fun mix of Jazz, rock, funk and more. Dress is “Oscar not so sheik” i.e. t-shirt tuxes and gaudy jewelry are welcome and encouraged.

Individual tickets are available for just $60 and include two drink tickets, dinner and entertainment. A limited number of VIP tables of 6 are available for $350. VIP tables include two drink tickets per guest, dinner, entertainment, two bottles of wine and a VIP cocktail hour prior to the event.
