One year ago, Lewis & Clark Bank announced the opening of its loan office dedicated to growing local businesses in Central Oregon. SVP / Central Oregon Area Manager Larry Snyder, a senior team member and banking veteran, runs the new office located at 250 NW Franklin, #102, in downtown Bend.
Since Lewis & Clark Bank’s inception, the Oregon City-based commercial bank has cultivated a strong relationship with its local community by infusing success-minded small businesses with loan capital. The bank’s Bend office is the latest product of that partnership. Snyder joined Lewis & Clark Bank in July 2012. With 35 years of banking experience in commercial lending, management and business development, Snyder leads the bank’s expansion into Central Oregon.
Snyder, a Bend resident since 2000, has served on the boards of multiple organizations based in the area. He currently serves on the St. Charles Foundation board of directors, the Oregon Business Development Corporation and is a member of the Rotary Club of Greater Bend. Snyder is also the past chair and board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Oregon, where he now serves as the ambassador chair.
“The Central Oregon market has gone through some tremendous changes over the past five to six years,” says Snyder, “as has the banking and financial arena. This is a great opportunity to build on the growth and economic upturn in Central Oregon, which is still one of the more desirable places in the northwest to live and for businesses to grow and establish strong economic roots. We are here to take care of those business customers in all areas of their financial needs.”
Current projects include the construction of custom homes in NorthWest Crossing, Tetherow and East Bend, as well as the refinancing of an apartment complex and the expansion of a mini-storage complex.
Lewis & Clark Bank was launched in 2006 with a plan and a vision for a new kind of bank. Calling themselves “Bankerpreneurs,” Lewis & Clark Bank’s corps set out to provide businesses with the resources and know-how to expand and achieve success.
In the almost seven years since, the bank and its employees have gone on to earn numerous community honors for outstanding lending activity and contributions to business. The bank was most recently named Oregon City Chamber’s Large Business of the Year for 2012. Lewis & Clark Bank has experienced steady organic growth thanks to a sound lending strategy and the bank’s expansion into Bend marks its next phase.
