Savy Agency Expands into Bend’s Mill Quarter

Savy Agency, a full-service digital marketing agency headquartered in Bend, is soon to celebrate its ten-year anniversary. While the agency has occupied the Sather Building in Bend’s downtown since their start in 2007, their work can be found throughout Central Oregon.

Savy offers end-to-end digital solutions including brand positioning and design, web design and development, ecommerce, public relations, search marketing, technology and application development and content creation.

Last year the agency added several support services to continue serving their clients on an ongoing basis. These include blogging and content management, analytics reporting, social media, email marketing, photography and video, as well as Google advertising. As an official Google Partner, Savy is Google Adwords and Google Analytics certified. The agency’s growth has prompted a move to a new office in Bend’s growing Mill Quarter.

“Our growth enables us to serve niche industries in our hometowns of Bend and Santa Barbara, as well as across Europe. From working with cannabis startups to posh Los Angeles grocery stores, we’re providing our clients even more resources to enhance their marketing,” said Christina Brown, Savy’s creative director. “Our new space will allow us to continue to grow, while providing ease of access to the river, running trails and to Bend’s great breweries, so we can balance work and play.”

With the recent development of Bend’s Mill Quarter, Savy jumped at the opening of their new space in the area. The Mill Quarter’s mixed-use growth includes Basecamp next door, featuring 25 modern townhomes, Crane Shed Commons, which plans are calling for a 50,000 square-foot office building and a 105-room hotel and conference center, a Market of Choice grocery store, offering conventional, natural, organic and health-conscious products at more affordable prices and the Colorado Crossing commercial development, making the neighborhood more attractive.

Stills & Motion
Savy’s expansion is well timed with the addition of new support services. The agency now provides clients in-house photography and video.

“We’re super excited to add photography and video to our roster of support services. Capturing photography and video of our clients and their products helps us tell the story behind the story, which is often the most interesting part,” said Brown.

Savy’s new office includes a natural light studio, weathered brick, representative of the Mill Quarter and growlers filled by Bend’s best breweries to refresh clients while they’re in. The agency plans to continue working with local photographers, but will offer their own in-house photography and videography services.
“We’re a go-to source for digital solutions that solve problems and tell stories. To help us serve our clients with complete solutions, photography and video were a natural fit,” says Anne Pick, lead copywriter at Savy. “This is consistent with our approach to providing the best for our clients, while always making things easy.”

While Savy’s video production won’t be entirely in-house, Savy partners with aerial cinematographers and producers both locally and internationally, often with the use of drones, to tell stories and create experiences people love.

“We believe that when done right, video can help elevate a brand and connect with consumers on an emotional level. Elements like expression, tone and sound work together to start and support conversations.” Most recently, Savy worked with an aerial production company in Germany to create a showcase reel for a Bend-based company.

New Digs & a New Website
As a branding and digital marketing agency, Savy employs designers, developers, copywriters and project managers who collaborate to create experiences online. The agency stays up-to-date on the latest technology, trends and applications, including their own website.

Savy recently launched the latest version of their website, featuring interactive functionality and a new look. As speed is essential online, Savy says its new website is faster, not only on desktop, but across mobile devices.

“The launch of our new website coincides with our move to the Mill Quarter and the addition of more ongoing support services for our clients. We can still position the brand, design the creative, build the website and launch and manage the campaigns, but now with the addition of photography and videography, we can further support the brand and help ‘tell your story well’.”
