In partnership with the Coastal High Desert Stampede presented by US Bank, a Pasture Bingo fundraiser to benefit Opportunity Foundation is scheduled on March 26.
The Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon has agreed to partner with the High Desert Stampede for the Elite Premier Tour in Redmond, Oregon on March 25 & 26.
Most importantly, the High Desert Stampede and ERA found a way to thank the Opportunity Foundation for their excellent work. Join us Saturday, March 26 at 5pm for a pasture bingo fundraiser benefiting the Opportunity Foundation at the fairgrounds directly in front of the Bank of the Cascades Center. This fun and exciting event will bring ERA athletes, community members and businesses together with those served by the Opportunity Foundation. This community based inclusive event directly furthers the work and goals of the Opportunity Foundation. You won’t want to miss this event!
The strong qualities this non-profit organization possesses, makes the High Desert Stampede proud to announce their participation in the ERA Tour. The Opportunity Foundation will be participating in several different capacities, some of which are: providing shuttle services from the parking lot to the front doors (donations accepted) before and after the rodeo performances, helping with barn and animal chores and assisting with setup and tear down.
The framework for the Opportunity Foundation was laid over fifty years ago by “typical cowboy” Walter Franks. By continuing Mr. Franks’ work, the Opportunity Foundation of Central Oregon has grown into a thriving nonprofit organization with over 200 supported persons, 8 owned and operated residential homes, 3 thrift stores, and a variety of employment programs and services. The Opportunity Foundation helps individuals with diverse abilities achieve a greater sense of fulfillment and inclusion through its work and educational programs. They envision a world where all people live, learn, and work together.
The High Desert Stampede and the Opportunity Foundation are both excited about working together to make the ERA Premier Tour one of the greatest rodeos in Central Oregon.
The Elite Rodeo Athletes is a “League of Champions” where only the world’s best rodeo athletes and livestock will compete against each other at every tour stop and rodeo. The tour was created with rodeo fans in mind, so they can easily follow their favorite athletes throughout the tour, which will host a number of regular-season events culminating with a 5 day World Championship event in Dallas, November 9-13, 2016 at the American Airlines Center. Fans will be able to watch only the best athletes and animals compete against each other, either in person or by watching the journey on FOX Sports.
