Central Oregon is facing a critical shortage of skilled trade workers and trade companies, a challenge that will directly impact housing affordability, infrastructure, and economic growth. According to the Oregon Employment Department, the construction industry will need up to 15,000 new workers statewide over the next decade, while 25% of the current workforce is expected to retire in that same period.
