Homebuyer Application Now Open!

Kôr Community Land Trust’s homebuyer application for its Poplar Community is now open. Located on SW Poplar Street in Bend, the community includes seven single family homes of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Designed to goal net-zero energy standards, these 1374 sq. ft. homes will be sold at an affordable price of $250,000, with down-payment assistance available. Homeowners will received an Aventon electric bike.

Applications to the public housing lottery will be accepted from April 3, 2023 at 9am PST to May 18, 2023 at 5pm PST. Qualified, first-time homebuyers are encouraged to apply to Kôr’s public housing lottery. Preference will be given to first-generation homebuyers, employees of partnering employers, and clients of Housing Works. Applicants can learn more and apply online or by paper at a partner site:

Poplar is a seven-unit affordable homeownership community built on Bend’s westside. It is the first community in the nation to use a workforce housing preference to house our essential workers thanks to the support of the Bend Chamber. It also prioritizes first-generation homebuyers and accepts homebuyers with Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, a first in Central Oregon.

Crescita is a five-unit affordable homeownership community in the Orchard District. All homeowners selected are from City of Bend’s local workforce. Thanks to the support of Pacific Power, Kor will be giving homeowners their electric bikes at this event.
